Anyways, something that I never really understood was Harry Potter. In 9th grade I started reading the first book and thought it was the lamest thing ever, so I decided I was too cool for it. I always enjoyed the movies but wasn't a total Potter fan until more recently. Last year husband finally convinced me to read the books and once I was done with the first one I had to keep going, so of course now I'm all for Harry Potter and my Ron (who does not get enough credit in the movies).
When the Percy Jackson and the Olympians movie came out, I convinced husband to go see it with me because I always enjoyed Greek Mythology, the move sucked which now makes me mad because recently I picked up the books and LOVED the series.
This got me thinking, if Harry Potter and Percy Jackson got in a fight who would win? Let's evaluate.
Harry Potter:
- Family: Son of wizards who died when he was young
- Powers: Nothing without his wand
- Weapon: his wand
- Friends: Smarty pants Hermione Granger and ginger boy Ron Weasely
- Evil Nemesis: Lord Voldermont
- Headquarters: most of the action takes place at the Hogwarts Castle
- Mentor:Albus Dumbledore

Percy Jackson:
- Family: Son of Poseidon and mortal woman, his mom married a gross guy to protect him
- Powers: Can control water
- Weapon: Power of water and his sword
- Friends: Annabeth daughter of Athena, and Grover the satyr
- Evil Nemesis: Everything that is evil
- Headquarters:Camp Half Blood
- Mentor: Chiron, trainer of all heroes
I'm pretty sure Percy would make Harry Potter cry. What do you think?
I don't know, but I think that Harry would be too sissy to throw anything like a killing curse at percy, so percy would probably win.
ReplyDeleteIn hand to hand combat, percy wins hands down because he has more practice with the sword. Plus Harry would be lost without his friends, but I think percy has a little more substance to him.
