It seems I have neglected to entertain my faithful readers for a while now, I blame the part time job for that. One of the problems of working part time is that I never know when I'm going to be working or what craziness I'm going to be doing that week. So far I have to say I've been keeping pretty busy between temping and working at the temp office. Luckily for my blogger friends today I was dismissed early and had a chance to catch up on emails and he blog.
Today while I was driving back from running an errand for my beloved husband (Ron Stoppable) I was thinking about what hilarious things I could write about when suddenly I became very thirsty and decided that I needed to stop for a refreshing drink of sweet tea. Lately I've been craving sweet tea a lot, but sweet tea is one of the beverages that are not created equal, not only does taste vary depending on location but sometimes they vary according to a particular batch of sweet tea. Luckily since I am here to serve my audience (audience composed of 4 official followers....I cherish you four) I have complied a list of what I believe to be the best sweet teas around, so far.
5. I don't have a top 5 but I felt like having a top 4 would seem lame, so if I had a top 5 it would go here and it would be top 5 delicious.
4. Chicken Express
For less than $2 dollars you can get a huge paper cup of sweet tea made from 100% super sugar (yes that's real). You can expect to be full of energy after drinking this much sugar, actually sometimes this tea might fall more under the category of way too much sugar.
3.McAlister's Deli
My favorite thing about this place is that their drinks are huge, and their sweet tea does not usually disappoint. I will warn you that you can buy a whole gallon or tea for the price of about two normal size drinks, but don't try to drink it all on the same day or your stomach will make you sorry.
2.Chick Fil A
Are you surprised this made my list? You shouldn't be, you know how much I love this place.
1.McDonald's
I was very hesitant to try their sweet tea but since their soft drinks and teas are a dollar right now I decided to give it a chance and I was not disappointed. Not only was it cheap but it was educational too. The cup had all sorts of funny things including "get quenched", which taught me a new word. Yes, I have never heard of quenched before and thanks for my $1 dollar tea I am now one word smarter. Yay!
I hope everyone goes out to get quenched!
As a fellow sweet tea connoisseur myself I can appreciate your top five, and it so happens those are my favorite places to acquire those liquidy noms noms as well. It's nice to know I am not the only one that takes my sweet tea seriously...seriously.
ReplyDeleteSee when you live in Dallas we can hang out and go drink sweet tea and compile an even longer list.
