Working girls don't blog

When I assumed the identify of Mrs. Merle I had a lot of things to write about, none of them really mattered but they provided entertainment. But now as a part time working girl I have come to realize that not having a job actually provided the best blog topics. At this point you are probably saying something like, "Hold on cupcake. You have a job? When did this happen? Why don't you love us anymore? Are all your life's problems fixed now? Is husband happy? Does this mean you are done obsessing over a brownie?" All of these are great questions my blogger friends but I have no real answers.

When The Brownie came to my life I knew that it meant a new world was possible, and since then a new word has become possible staring with my part time job. After much convincing by husband (by convincing I mean forcing since I'm wasn't allowed to buy more books for my Kindle) I submitted my resume at a temp agency and meet up with them. As it turns out I am quite lovable (apparently I have a great smile and great attitude) and I was able to secure a part time job with the temp company itself, helping out one of the recruiters. If everything turns out for the better I can get some office experience and do some work while my consultant finds me a full time job doing something fabulous.

And Alas fast forward one week later and part time Mrs. Merle is ignoring her blog and instead working hard for her money. Husband is finally happy that I'm making money and that I have stopped mooching off of him.  Luckily I have finished reading Percy Jackson and have no more books to read, which works out since now I have a part time job. I miss Percy, he was a good friend. That was a great series I recommend it, by the way.

In some personal news my brother Ewok (new nicknamed provided by husband) will be staying with us since he just landed an awesome new job in Dallas. This is both exciting and not fun. Yay for the completion of stage one of my bring everyone to Dallas plan.  It's not fun because that means that I actually have to clean out the ridiculous closet known as "the wedding present closet", I will make sure to take before and after pictures since this will be an adventure. It's also a little sad because that means that Hotel Casa Burrow will be closed until further notice (I mean the floor is still available). No worries travelers of the north, husband and I are already looking for new location for our home after August.

Well friends you are probably wondering how I plan to spend my first paycheck, well I'm sure it's obvious I will go binge on Chick Fil A and expensive brownies, it will be Lord of the Rings epic!

  1. I'm happy you have a job, but I do love reading your blog. I'm trying to get used to the idea of having to drive north to see Kimberly & Eric. But I'm pleased I'll get to see you more often too.
